Other beautiful things in Life

My younger students are always curious whether I do anything apart from teaching piano. They adorably ask me when I ever get to celebrate my birthday, especially when they see how packed my teaching schedule is!
I certainly do.

Outside of music, I have a deep love for dogs, especially the welfare of less fortunate ones and the well-being of stray animals. They have always held a special place in my heart.

Over the years, overall well-being -both mental and physical has also become increasingly important to me. As a result, nutrition, particularly for children and dogs, has become one of my favourite subjects to learn about.

I have always been fascinated by how food works in helping our bodies heal and function well. I believe God has given us food not only to nourish us, but also to help our bodies and minds do the work they were created to do.

The saying, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," has always resonated with me and reflects much of how I view nutrition and well-being.
Whilst I am not a nutritionist, it has remained a topic that I genuinely enjoy reading about and learning more about.

When I am away from work, you will most likely find me enjoying peaceful walks by the sea with my dog, Matthew. Those quiet moments have become one of life's greatest blessings.

It is during these walks that I often reflect, pray and spend time with God. Some people may call it meditation; I simply see it as connecting with God when the mind is no longer distracted by the busyness of everyday life.

Much of my free time is also spent at the piano, studying the very pieces I teach my students. I enjoy discovering new musical ideas, fresh interpretations and more effective ways to help my students overcome technical challenges and express themselves more beautifully through music.

The truth is, when you discover something you truly love, it becomes part of who you are. Much like eating or breathing, it simply becomes a natural part of everyday life. Even on days when I don't feel like practising, I find myself drawn back to the piano- because that is what loving music feels like.
